The ‘fight bait’ dog that lost half its face is unrecognizable

They were using him as “fighting bait” when they transported him to Mutt Scouts in California. After using him as a “fighting machine,” his owners no longer wanted to hear from Haddie, a dog with a very recognizable appearance. The fights he had participated in had left visible marks on his sweet face, with patches of skin peeling off.

So, albeit reluctantly, the rescuers removed half of his face to avoid infecting the remaining area. Erin Williams, a 36-year-old man, was struck by his story, which he learned from an article published online. What caught his attention, above all, was his distinctive physique, which he found irresistible.

Consequently, he offered to adopt him, even though he was quite far from where he lived. There were some logistical difficulties along the way, but nothing impossible. His determination never wavered, for the desire to give Haddie a second chance was too strong. Up until that point, he had only known the ugly side of society, and the time had finally come to introduce him to the beautiful side. The process went smoothly, and a symbiotic relationship began to develop, one of deep unity and brotherhood.

The dog adapted perfectly to his new environment. At first, he was quite afraid of interacting with others, but then things changed. As the days passed, he realized he had ended up in a very different world than what he was used to.

This filled him with joy, which was contagious for his owner. From then on, he also noticed benefits in his mood: just a quick look at him is enough to understand the importance of seizing the moment. Long walks began to become an indispensable routine, and most people who met him instantly became fond of him. They almost never asked insensitive questions, which, however, did not take away Erin’s good mood: they would never have seen the beauty of her soul.
