Farewell, Sweet Iris — A Beloved Soul Who Brought Comfort, Joy, and Endless Love

Today, our hearts are shattered as we say goodbye to our beloved Corgi, Iris. She crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully, leaving behind a void that words can hardly fill. The diagnosis came suddenly — a splenic tumor with internal bleeding. It was inoperable. The vet gently told us that surgery wouldn’t have saved her, and though the truth was painful, we take comfort in knowing she did not suffer.

Iris was more than just a pet. She was family. She was a quiet guardian, a source of joy, and a soft-hearted soul who brought light into every room she entered. Her love was steady, her presence grounding — especially for me. As my unofficial therapy dog, she sat beside countless clients, offering silent comfort in moments when words weren’t enough. She had a gift — a calming, intuitive presence that made others feel safe, understood, and not alone.

She touched many lives, not only through her gentle spirit but through the warmth she shared so effortlessly. The tail wags, the quiet cuddles, the way she always seemed to know when someone needed her — that was Iris. She gave so much, and asked for so little in return.

Our hearts ache knowing she is no longer beside us, but we find peace in remembering the love she gave and the way she left this world — surrounded by that same love. Her paw prints are forever etched into our hearts.

Run free now, sweet Iris. May the skies beyond the rainbow bridge be filled with sunshine and soft grass, and may you feel every ounce of the love you left behind.

Until we meet again. 💔🌈🐾
