A touching story of animal rescue shared by Socorrinha Sousa, from Piripiri (PI), in the north of the state, has gone viral on social media.

She recounts the adoption of an abandoned animal who was given a second chance at happiness when she was adopted by a family in the city.

“My friend returned to a place where there were a lot of animals breeding,” Socorrinha recounted in a Facebook post.

At one point, the car had to stop suddenly because a dog appeared in the middle of the road. She went to the window as if “she was asking for help,” according to Socorrinha.

“My friend’s son, Vinicius, fell in love with her, but her parents did not want to take her in,” she said.

They then continued their journey for a few meters, while trying to keep up with them. At one point, she gave up.

“When the boy didn’t see her anymore, he started crying and the parents were separated, but they couldn’t bear to see how much he cried,” Socorrinha wrote. The solution? They decided to go back and look.

After some worrying, they finally found her, when she noticed the presence of the car and came out of a hole where she was hiding.

Vinicius took her into the car and named her Mariana. He got a little sister, while she got a family, a home and a lot of love.

Mariana was properly vaccinated and neutered, taking charge of the new family. Too beautiful, right?
