The vets discovered a tear in her muscle wall from her spine to her side. While they were looking for her right ovary, they found a hernia that had pushed it through a hole in her muscle wall, just under the skin. 🐾💔

For years, we were told the bulge on her right side was just scar tissue from an attack she went through. Then, on Saturday, we were told it was a benign tumor—only to find out it was a serious hernia with complications. 😔

Amaya is home now and resting, but she’s not eating much and isn’t moving around much. She’s on pain medication, which might be affecting her appetite and energy levels. The vet said the next two weeks will be tough for her, and if the hernia doesn’t heal, it’s close to her kidneys, which could lead to even more severe complications.
