Update on my sweet girl, Amaya π
Iβve been going back and forth about sharing this, but we really need all the prayers we can get right now. Yesterday, Amaya went in for a routine spay, but things quickly got complicated.
The vets discovered a tear in her muscle wall from her spine to her side. While they were looking for her right ovary, they found a hernia that had pushed it through a hole in her muscle wall, just under the skin. πΎπ
For years, we were told the bulge on her right side was just scar tissue from an attack she went through. Then, on Saturday, we were told it was a benign tumorβonly to find out it was a serious hernia with complications. π
Amaya is home now and resting, but sheβs not eating much and isnβt moving around much. Sheβs on pain medication, which might be affecting her appetite and energy levels. The vet said the next two weeks will be tough for her, and if the hernia doesnβt heal, itβs close to her kidneys, which could lead to even more severe complications.
