Tiny Pup Clings to Life as Vet Team Fights to Save Her
A six-week-old puppy, who was been dubbed “Tuesday” as he was found last evening outside on an East Boston street, is undergoing emergency medical treatment for a deadly disease.

The MSPCA-Angell said in a release that Tuesday is ill with Parvovirus — a disease which attacks the rapidly developing cells within young dogs, such as those in the GI tract and bone marrow — and the group has been providing immediate critical care on Tuesday in an effort to save the pup’s life.
The group added that without treatment the disease is always lethal, but that a vaccination can stop the disease and its deadly consequences.
“Tuesday was very likely not vaccinated against parvo,” Mike Keiley, the director of adoption centers and programs at the MSPCA-Angell, said in a statement. “We immediately agreed to take him and get him into treatment at our Angell Animal Medical Center, where as of this moment he is stable.”
The pup remains in intensive care ward as of the afternoon, where his treatment is ongoing, the MSPCA-Angell said.
The group said that Tuesday was reportedly found appearing sickly on Saratoga Street in the city, according to Keiley. Boston Animal Control had reached out to the MSPCA for its help.
“We are pulling out all the stops to get him well and assuming he recovers, we’ll ensure he’s fully inoculated before placing him into an adoptive home,” Keiley added.
The MSPCA-Angell said “He’s not out of the woods — but he hasn’t declined,” and asked the public to continue to send positivity the pup’s way.
