The Delta Force 2 (1990)

With thrilling sequences, Chuck Norris’s signature martial arts skills, and a gripping storyline, The Delta Force 2 delivers nonstop excitement. As McCoy and his team fight through one perilous challenge after another, viewers are taken on an adrenaline-fueled journey filled with suspense, heroism, and explosive action. This sequel is a must-watch for fans of high-octane adventure films.
The Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection is a high-octane, patriotic action film starring Chuck Norris as the legendary Colonel Scott McCoy. A sequel to the 1986 hit The Delta Force, this film swaps the terrorist-hijacking plot of the original for a drug cartel showdown in South America. While it sticks to the classic Chuck Norris formula—explosions, hand-to-hand combat, and over-the-top heroics—it lacks the same level of realism or suspense as its predecessor.
If you’re a fan of 1980s and early 1990s action movies, this is exactly what you’d expect: a one-man army taking on a ruthless drug empire, complete with cheesy one-liners and unstoppable fight scenes.
Colonel Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris), a no-nonsense Delta Force operative, is sent on a mission to stop Ramon Cota (Billy Drago), a sadistic Colombian drug lord responsible for mass killings and the cocaine trade flooding the U.S.
After a failed attempt to capture Cota, the drug lord retaliates by kidnapping and executing DEA agents and their families. When McCoy’s superior and close friend General Taylor is taken hostage, McCoy and his elite Delta Force team launch a daring, all-out assault on Cota’s fortress deep in the Colombian jungle.
The final act delivers machine-gun battles, jungle warfare, and brutal martial arts fights, ending with McCoy personally taking down Cota in an intense one-on-one showdown.
The Delta Force 2 is pure early ‘90s action movie excess—not groundbreaking, but fast-paced and fun if you’re in the mood for Chuck Norris taking down bad guys in the most explosive way possible.
Would you rank this among Norris’ best films, or do you prefer his Missing in Action series?
