Clementine, a stray dog in Southern California, was originally listed for euthanasia by the shelter. With only 48 hours left to live, she quietly stayed in a cage commonly known as “death row”, curled up and shivered waiting for her fate to come. However, at this critical moment, a photo changed everything. A kind-hearted person saw her helpless appearance and decided to lend a hand, bringing Clementine a miraculous new life.

According to “We Love Animals”, Clementine was deemed unsuitable for adoption by the shelter due to her poor health. She had as many as five serious infections, including canine MRSA-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. She was thin and weighed only 20 kilograms, her hair was tangled, and she smelled. Even though the shelter used medicated baths to clean her every day, her condition could not be improved.

With only two days left before euthanasia, Chelsea Elizabeth Cossairt accidentally saw a photo of Clementine’s back on the Internet. She was moved by her uneasy and trembling appearance, so she decided to submit an adoption application. The shelter staff admitted that they had received hundreds of adoption applications in the past few weeks, but no one was willing to adopt Clementine. Chelsea was the only one who took the initiative to apply.

Chelsea recalled that when she first brought Clementine home, her eyes were dim and she was full of fear of humans. She always trembled and hid behind the furniture, and she didn’t even dare to look her in the eye. However, after seven months of careful care, Clementine gradually opened her heart. Not only did she gain 11 kilograms, she also learned to show trust and love to humans. From a timid puppy in the past, she has transformed into a passionate and curious furry child.
