When this picture came in with the simple plea — “Can you help him?” — we didn’t even hesitate.

Of course, we said yes.
He was immediately en route to Stray Rescue, and the moment he arrived, we wrapped him in our arms like family. This sweet senior boy — with a tired body but eyes still searching for kindness — absolutely stole our hearts.

And today…
He turns 8 years old.
No balloons. No cake. No party hats.
Just a brave little soul, wrapped in cozy blankets, hoping for healing… and maybe a kind wish or two. 🎂🐶

Our vet team suspects he may be suffering from lupus, an autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to mistakenly attack the body. We’ve sent out bloodwork and started him on antibiotics. All we can do now is keep him comfortable — with soft blankets, gentle hands, and so much love.

We gently cleaned the crust from his nose, and when he realized he was safe… he sighed. He slept. He trusted.
That moment? That’s everything. 💔💖
