A heartwarming moment captured the image of a loyal dog staying by its owner’s side after he accidentally fell from a tree and broke his leg.

While trimming a tree in front of his house in Bahia Blanca city (Argentina), Jesus Hueche, 28 years old, slipped and fell onto the concrete floor from a height of 1.8m. The unexpected fall left Hueche unconscious.

Witnessing the accident, Hueche’s beloved dog, Tony, could not help but feel heartbroken. With a sad face, Tony insisted on lying next to his beloved owner to protect him.

Only a moment later, when they saw Hueche in trouble, did the neighbors quickly call an ambulance. When the doctors arrived, Tony still refused to leave, continuously barking and baring his teeth to threaten the paramedics.

After a while of persuading Tony, the paramedics finally performed first aid and splinted the victim’s neck before taking him to the hospital.

Photos of the loyal dog, taken by the ambulance staff and posted online, quickly went viral. Doctors said Tony even tried to climb into the ambulance when he saw his owner being taken away.

Fortunately, Hueche was not seriously injured. Doctors said the victim only suffered a swollen neck and a minor head injury.

Speaking to the press after the accident, Hueche said he adopted Tony when he saw him wandering the streets, and that he considered the puppy like his own son. “He goes everywhere with me. He eats, sleeps and is an indispensable part of my family,” Hueche said.
