At a local animal rescue center, an elderly dog has just undergone emergency eye surgery after being found in a severely weakened state, with serious eye injuries and complete loss of vision.

According to veterinarians, the dog – temporarily named “Hope” by the rescue team – suffered from a severe eye infection due to prolonged neglect, which would have led to total blindness without immediate intervention. The surgery, which lasted nearly two hours, was performed to remove the damaged tissue, and “Hope” is now in post-operative recovery.

A representative from the center shared: “Her health is still fragile. Both of her eyes are fully bandaged to prevent infection, and she requires constant monitoring. She can’t see the world right now, but she still reacts gently to soft voices and kind touches.”

The rescue team is calling on the community to send prayers, share her story, and provide financial support to ensure “Hope” has the best chance of recovery.
