Thor 5: Battle of the Gods (2025)

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) returns in an epic chapter that pits him against gods themselves. After the events of Love and Thunder, Thor has found peace raising Love, the daughter of Gorr, but tranquility is short-lived. A cosmic ripple awakens ancient deities older than Odin, gods forgotten and enraged that their worship has faded. They see mortals as cattle and intend to reclaim the cosmos by fire and blood.
Loki (Tom Hiddleston), resurrected from the multiverse, returns not as an enemy but as a reluctant ally, still scheming but bound by brotherhood. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), restored through Valhalla’s power, wields Mjolnir once more. Together, they form a fractured family of gods, their love and rivalry as explosive as their battles.
The antagonist, Kh’roth the Eternal (Christian Bale), emerges as the leader of the Forgotten Gods—a being of unimaginable power who seeks to erase Asgardian bloodlines forever. His arrival sparks war across the cosmos, from Olympus to the shattered remains of Asgard.
The climax is Ragnarok reborn. Gods battle gods across burning skies, lightning tearing through planets. Thor, wielding Stormbreaker and joined by Jane and Loki, leads the charge. Love reveals her latent cosmic power, becoming the hope of a new age. In a sacrifice echoing Odin, Thor gives his power to save the realms, surviving only because his family refuses to let him die.
The film ends with Thor passing his mantle to Love, while Loki disappears once again, whispering promises of mischief yet to come.
